Stranger in a Stranger Land by amarys Stranger in a Stranger Land by amarys

Some personal work I started last year. I was listening to 30 Seconds to Mars' 'Stranger in a Strange Land' when I was finishing this today, and thought it was quite apt…

"Angel or demon?
I gave up my soul.
I'm guilty of treason,
I've abandoned control."

In other news, I'm now sick of painting feathers.

I was thinking it was a rather interesting take on Heinlein's Stranger in a Strange Land, but I realized after reading the desc that it wasn't. Still, a gorgeous picture. The effort put into this is palpable.

I've heard of it, but never read it. I'll have to check it out, and thank you! :)

If you can, get the Uncut version. Heinlein was forced to edit it at the time of its writing, in order for it to be published... it was too "extreme" for the times, I guess. Heinlein's widow had the uncut edition published posthumously, and it's (imo) far better.

Reminds me of Neil Gaiman's short story, "Murder Mysteries."
